Tattoo Aftercare
Second skin
Leave your Second Skin on for 3–5 days, unless it becomes very irritated, starts lifting significantly, or fluid is leaking out.
While wearing it:
-
A small amount of blood, ink, or plasma underneath the film is normal.
-
Avoid soaking the tattoo — no baths, pools, hot tubs, or swimming.
-
Showers are okay.
-
Avoid excessive sweating, friction, or tight clothing over the tattoo.
Removing your Second Skin:
-
Wash your hands.
-
Gently peel the film slowly, preferably under warm running water.
-
Wash the tattoo gently with a mild, fragrance-free soap.
-
Pat dry with a clean paper towel and allow it to air dry.
-
Apply a very thin layer of your recommended aftercare moisturizer.
Once the Second Skin is removed, continue moisturizing lightly as the tattoo heals.

Saran Wrap
Keep the Saran wrap on for approximately 2–4 hours after your tattoo.
Then:
1. Remove the wrap and wash your hands.
2. Gently wash the tattoo with mild, fragrance-free soap and warm water.
3. Pat dry with a clean paper towel.
4. Let the tattoo breathe and stay uncovered.
5. Apply a very thin layer of fragrance-free moisturizer the next day after washing and patting dry.
Repeat gentle washing and moisturizing 1–2 times daily as needed.
Don't During Healing Process
• For approximately 2 weeks:
• No swimming, hot tubs, or soaking.
• Avoid direct sun on the tattoo.
• Don’t pick, scratch, or peel flakes/scabs.
• Avoid tight clothing rubbing against the tattoo.
• Don’t apply heavy layers of lotion or petroleum-based products.
Some redness, tenderness, peeling, itching, and light scabbing can be normal while healing.
